"I have a strong need to leave a part of myself in every image I do. If it weren't for that, who is to say I was ever here." - Jillian Lochner

As a well-established commercial and fashion photographer, Jillian is skilled in the subtleties of creating a mood and telling a pointed story in one frame. Her stories are often sharp little comments on the dynamics of sex and sexual relationships, the nature of basic instincts and the ambiguous beauty of human form and function. The subtleties of her work are far more textured than mere messages on mixed morality. Lavish production design and immaculate lighting are offset by imagery of stomach-churning crassness and fragility, irony and empathy.

After spending several years documenting the sex industry in London, Jillian has developed into one of the most sought after photographers in the world. She has traveled from Singapore to New York shooting for a variety of advertising, fashion and editorial clients. They include: Absolut, The BBC, Unilever, Smirnoff, Levi’s, Archer's, Black Coffee, Nashua, Adidas, British Airways, Boezaart Bauermeister, Windhoek Lager, British Airways, Radio Dubai, Punani Eyewear, Durex, The New York Times Magazine, T-Mobile, Coty and American Express. She has worked for TBWA\Chiat\Day, Saatchi London, BBH London, TBWA Hunt Lascaris, Young and Rubicam, JWT, Grey, Marie Claire and Elle.

Jillian has achieved numerous international awards including:

Archive Top 200 Advertising Photographer. 2006, 2008.
